Beirut Chants Festival
Bishop Delegate Mons. Carlos Azevedo visited Beirut in December to open the Beirut Chants Festival.
He read a message from Cardinal Ravasi which you can download here. It expresses support for the initiative, which brings together followers of different religions in a cultural setting, moments of solidarity, friendship and fraternity. All this at a time when the Middle East is facing significant and radical social challenges.
The festival provides free concerts to the public in the historical churches of Beirut so that everyone can enjoy the music and prepare for Christmas. In 2016 there were 29 concerts planned featuring a variety of renowned artists from around the world.
