This volume collects the proceedings of the conference "Church, Music, Texts and Contexts" (4-5 Feb 2021).
Over the centuries, theologians and musicians have dealt with various sacred writings in the various contexts of ecclesial life, starting with the fundamental text, the Bible. This occured in the multiple moments of the Church's life through liturgies, concerts, meetings, pilgrimages, events and manifestations.
The conference took into consideration these experiences of listening to the Word, considering them also as moments of inculturation, translation, formation and aggiornamento. The result is a kind of programmatic proposal also for the current dialogue between music, texts and contexts.
